Tom SelleckThomas William Selleck is an American actor. His most well-known role was that of Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) in which the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in the Drama Series which he won in 1985. From 2010 until 2010 Selleck has been the New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. In nine television series that are based on the Robert B. Parker novels and plays, he was Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town chief of police, which began in 2005. Selleck also starred in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). In addition to his role in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has appeared in more than 50 films and television shows, which include the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. He was a regular on television in characters as Monica Geller's love-interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends, as Lance White, the likeable and unassuming partner on The Rockford Files, and as the owner of a casino A.J.
