
Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27th of 1976. He grew up in southern California and was a student at Huntington Beach High School, where he was a top player on both the football and basketball teams. Gonzalez excelled in these sports at University of California, Berkeley. He helped lead the team in football into the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he beat the record of the school bowl by catching nine times. After a few months, Gonzalez was the team's basketball coach to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. Then he quit school to join the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs chose Gonzalez as their number thirteen overall. Gonzalez was part of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. Then he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Starting in Gonzalez's second season in the NFL He never caught less than 59 passes during a season.
